Afterlife Presents: EMERGENCE 05.09.09 |
 |
Afterlife Presents
Saturday May 9th, 2009
Emergence-Featuring: Noel Sanger (Sphere Of Influence CD Release/World Tour)

To fans of electronic music the world over, the name Noel Sanger is a familiar one, either through his own relentless touring (including two years as Tiesto's chosen US tour-mate), his productions and remixes which regularly grace the sets of the world's biggest DJ's, his five nationally released DJ mix CD's, or his programming and engineering work for frontline artists such as Tiesto, BT, and Markus Schulz. Now, with "Sphere Of Influence" (Moist Music 2009) his first DJ mix compilation since 2003's "Summerbreeze 2" (Nettwerk America), Noel returns to the decks for his finest work yet, blurring the lines and bending the genre's as few can. Throughout the 74 minute expedition he effortlessly blends the elements of house, trance, and techno into a cohesive and accessible dance-floor experience, his trademark melodies and emotional transitions perfectly coupled with floor-wrecking beats proven at clubs and festivals from Shanghai to Miami. It also features an exclusive and original track from Noel, called "Hemisphere", which will be released and promoted by Moist Music on an exclusive basis as the lead single from the compilation.
In support of "Sphere Of Influence", Noel will be undertaking his most extensive North American tour in several years, with dates in at least 2 dozen US cities. Tour dates are now available from February 2009. Dates will be supported with posters, postcards, flyer design, and aggressive online and print marketing. Retail buy-ins and co-ops are planned at all major music chains, and in addition to the physical CD, the title will be available digitally at Itunes, Amazon, Beatport and all major digital retailers.
"Since my last commercially released mix I've done dozens of tracks and remixes for some of the best dance labels in the world, and they have been played mercilessly by the world's best DJ's." says Noel. "It's amazing and I am incredibly blessed. But besides making tracks for DJ's to buy and play, right now I am super-excited to bring my sound directly to the people who make it all possible, the fans, the clubbers all over the world, in a package they can hold in their hands. I hope everyone enjoys these tunes as much as I do!"

John Bourke’s production work has been contracted out for movies such as the Matrix Trilogy, video games for PS2 and Xbox, television programs, such as for MTV Networks, and the co production of Shiny Toy Guns’s “Photograph.” Bourke is the beat maker behind Trash Yourself, which has been exploding in the blogosphere over the last few months. Trash Yourself is currently working on new tracks with Richard Humpty Vission, Treasure Fingers, Ultra Violet Sound, and The Toxic Avenger. On the forefront of innovative dance music, Trash Yourself is set out to push the envelope and is quickly gaining support from the world's top DJs. Their recent tour schedule has put them on the international stage with dates in Mexico and Portugal where they opened up for Ladytron at the Beat It Festival. saw him signed with Mad Panik Records run by Rize, Starr and Ben

FEATURING: PARAL-LEL *LIVE* | CD RELEASE & USA TOUR!
(LYON, FRANCE / BEE RECORDS / AIMEZ-VOUS BRAHMS ?)
"Paral-lel’s stength lies in their years of live performance since their creation in 2002. Already invloved with BEE Records at that time, they have since grown and evolved on stage, sharing influences and visions by jumping between electronica, breakbeat, electro, techno and IDM. Three EP’s between 2002 and 2006 were sufficient to impose and propogate their sound through some very prestigious venues and festivals: Sonar in Barcelona, Fortress in Londo, Marsatac in Marseille, le Printemps de Bourges, Nuits Sonores in Lyon, the Montreux jazz Festival and Nordic Impact. In 2007 the release of their first album Attack of the Mutant Sheep was followed up by a long nationwide tour in France’s best venues: le Bataclan (Paris), le Splendid (Lille), la Laiterie (Strasbourg), l’Olympic (Nantes) ou le Transbordeur (Lyon). Without skipping a beat their road-warrior antics led them abroud to the Balkans (Croatia and Bosnia) in Spring 2008, and then to the USA during the following summer for a massive tour, playing in New York, Boston, Austin, Miami, and Dallas. The US tour was a success, and in march 09 they are heading back to play WMC in MIami and SXSW in Austin, proving once again their mastering of live performance and will to make the dancefloor move! Thus it was on the road that Paral-lel hatched their mini-album in disguise, Freaks Rock!"

Flux Capacitor 03.21.09 |

Great Scott, I have done it! I have finally invented something that actually works! Ever since that fateful day in '55, I've dreamed of this finally happening! Running off the equivalency of a bolt of lightning, precisely 1.21 Jiggawatts of funk, I have created a time machine with style - DeLorean style. If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour your gonna see some serious @&$%!! A night when the past, present, and future come together for one night of celebrated Dance Music Culture. Yes!! I, Dr. Emmett Brown and Purple Monkey Productions, have just created....
THE FLUX CAPACITOR!!!!

Featuring:
Wolfgang Gartner
Kindergarten

In the often serious world of dance music, it’s good to see somebody still having a bit of fun. Meet Wolfgang Gartner, aka Joey Youngman. At first glance the name Wolfgang Gartner is a fairly recent blip on dance music’s collective radar, but dig a little deeper and you’ll discover a robust discography, amassed by a seasoned veteran of the music industry.
Currently residing in Austin, Texas, this 26-year-old California transplant has been producing dance music since he was 11 years old. While most kids were playing Nintendo and after-school sports, Youngman was syncing a drum machine to a keyboard and teaching himself to make tracks. His career didn’t hit center stage until 2003 however, when after a decade of pounding on the industry’s door he landed his first big break and began putting out records.
The early years of Youngman’s discography boasted releases and remixes on dozens of respected house labels like Tango, Om Records, Naked Music, Doubledown, and his own imprints; Fetish Recordings & Jackin Tracks. He donned a slew of production aliases including Mario Fabriani, White Collar Criminals, Frequent Fliers, and a few other colorful guises that helped to spice up an exceedingly frequent release schedule.
In 2004, Youngman signed onto the esteemed Blue Collar Entertainment roster and started focusing more time on his other passion: DJ’ing. The move sparked a series of global tours and increased his exposure to audiences around the world. To date, Joey Youngman has performed on every continent except Antarctica (but if you put a club on a glacier he’d play there too!). From Shindig Newcastle to Pacha Sao Paulo to Japan, Russia, and Ibiza, the air miles have stacked up along-side his innate ability to work a dancefloor.
2007 marked a major step in Youngman’s career with the introduction of his new moniker: Wolfgang Gartner. The new name was created to explore a new sound, without feeling confined to the musical boundaries of his previous projects. “I was getting bored with house, with that whole sound,” he says. “I basically hadn’t evolved musically since the late 90's and had been rehashing the same ideas over and over. Something just snapped and I decided it was time for a complete change.”
It was apparent from the first Wolfgang Gartner release that Youngman was onto something big. Within 6 months of his first outing on Om Records, Wolfgang Gartner had landed 2 top-10 singles on Beatport.com’s sales chart (a high honor in the dance music world), a Pete Tong “essential new tune of the week” on BBC’s Radio 1, and a plethora of DJ support and accolades within the industry. It was early 2008 when Youngman made the decision to pursue the Wolfgang Gartner project full-time. “It’s so hard to do 2 things really well at the same time,” he says. “I realized that I had to pick something and stick to it. So I decided that this new style is the direction I want to go, and to focus all my time and energy on Wolfgang Gartner.”
Stormtrooper - UK
Thin 'n Crispy // Next Generation

DJ Stormtrooper's sound has become one of the most popular and sought after styles of UK Hardcore over the last few years. Tough, raved up beats infused with moments of euphoria and out & out pandemonium have caused many a dancefloor to rock & or roll!
He has gone from strength to strength both in the studio and in the world of djing, with gigs all across the UK at events such as HTID, Hardcore Heaven, Slammin Vinyl, Uproar, Destiny, Fusion & Vibealite + many more, and with places such as Australia, America and Finland under his international belt things can only get better for the south coast ravemesiter.
Working with some of UK Hardcores' finest producers such as Robbie Long, Brisk & Sharkey to name but a few have helped cement Alex's position as one of the most sought after producers within the UK Hardcore spectrum.

DJ Impact - UK
Infexious Audio

SPECIAL 10 YEARS OF IMPACT HARDCORE SET!!
Impact has been active as a hardcore music producer since 1996, making his debut in the scene with a release on Go Mental Records, entitled 'Don’t Cry' and ‘Fine Night’. This sold about 1000 copies, and marked the start of a production career that has spanned many releases, under various labels and pseudonyms. He started producing as a way of actively furthering his career as a DJ but, over the years, it progressed from a hobby to become a career. Since 1996 he has produced and engineered tracks with many established hardcore producers, including Hixxy, Kevin Energy, Fade and Sharkey. He was noticed within the scene for his consistently high production quality, and also for the numerous hardcore anthems he has produced, including 'Power of Dreams' and 'Say It Again'.
Impact owns three record labels; Impulse, FBI and his latest venture, in collaboration with Resist, Infexious Audio. Many of his tracks have appeared on successful albums worldwide, including Moonshine's (USA) 'Happy 2 B Hardcore' series, Toshiba - EMI's (Japan) 'Dancemania' series and Resist’s world famous Bonkers series. Along with his own label productions, he has worked for a number of other labels within the scene including: Nu Energy, Raverbaby, Digital Beatz, Electronic, HCC, Relentless, Hech-Tech, HTSE, Camel Records, Future Dance, Rave N’ Beats, Bedlam and Go Mental. As a DJ he has played at most of the major events across the UK and has recently toured Australia, playing at Helter Skelter in front of 3,000 people. Impact is now a regular name on the UK hardcore scene and is considered to be one of the industry’s leading producers and DJs.
