Pensive, here. 17, female, living in scenic Arlington.

I'm not really part of the whole "rave" scene, but I love watching from afar (especially glow-stringing and fire poi) and I'm really big on dancing in general. I dunno if I'll be at any events anytime soon, but I figured I might as well post an intro here since miss Sheila linked me to the forums. :]

hellloooo there... you know whats even better than the forums... Afterlife itself. You should def try and make it to OMGWTF or Blast Off for sure. You'll see me there, and you'll be sure to have fun!

Another place you can check out besides Afterlife (if you do not like electronic music) is The Across the Street Bar in Dallas off Yale and 75. Every Wed. night they have an ALL AGES EVENT in which a whole bunch of hippies get into a giant circle and jam on their drums hence, Drum Jam :). A lot of poi spinners, both regular and fire show up. There are also all varieties of other fire performance art. Cover is only 3 dollars :).

you should check it out it is super fun, and you get your poi and fire fix in the middle of the week. I don't spin personally, but I enjoy the fuck out of watching a good show :).
