yep, and when they haul you off to the local police station to wait for the drivers licence office to open so they can take that Drivers Licence Number, Name, and Address, and type it into the computer to verify who you are. You will wish you had your ID on you.


They are not going to arrest you for not having an ID, but they will take you in to make sure you are telling them the proper information, and not using someone elses.

Also the state of Texas requires anybody entering an establishment that has an age restriction (IE a Club that has a 17+ policy), to have a state or Federally Issued ID.

just like Tim says, wait til the police ask for your ID and then detain you until they figure out if you really are who you say you are
not having an ID on you is just a bad idea
if youre driving and dont have your ID on you they can take you to jail or at least place you under arrest until they verify you have a drivers license, and then they can still pop you with a ticket for failing to provide your license
just cause you know your DL number doesnt mean you can drive without the card on you
just wait til you get pulled over, unless the officer is an especially nice person youre going to have problems

its just SMARTER to get a flippin ID and its not that hard
15 bucks and you get a copy of your lost or stolen ID mailed to you and a printed copy to keep on you til the real one arrives
there really is no excuse not to have your ID on you other than LAZINESS or STUPIDITY

I have an ID lol... Nor would I ever drive without it... I'm just saying if I just so happen to be walking down the road and get stopped and not have my ID...
