Hey! My name's Alex, a.k.a. The Hippie. I've been to Afterlife three times now, so I figured I'd check this site out.

How's life?

haha I know what you mean.

Well, lately I've just been lounging around drawing stuff and watching anime. I used to play lots of PC games but I just got a new laptop and I'm still reinstalling everything. How about you?

Hey, and thanks! Well, the music is certainly good haha. Probably my favorite thing that's happened so far was when Where's Your Head At? came on the second time I was there. I usually just lounge around on the couches but I was up and moving around with everyone else then!

yep the music is the reason why I have always liked Afterlife. It changes on a regular basis, and you find tracks and styles at AL that you will be hard pressed to find in abundance at other dance clubs in the greater DFW area. What anime do you enjoy watching? Right now I am knee deep in a Bleach addiction. I was just introduced to this series about 5-6 weeks ago and already I am up to episode 167 Smile

Well, right now I'm watching Case Closed/Detective Conan because I came across an episode one day and remembered it from back in middle school lol. I'm trying to see if I can make it all the way up to the current episode (541, but it'll be a little farther down by the time I get there), and so far I'm on 118. Other than that I usually just end up watching slice of life shows like Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, and K-On!, but I also like some of the horror series like Higurashi/Umineko no Naku Koro ni and Monster, and of course the occasional action series.

I've been meaning to catch up with Bleach for a long time haha. I haven't watched it since practically back when it just started.

I like hearing a song getting played at the club about twice a month. Anytime I hear a song (unless it is a drastically different mix) played more then once in an evening it irritates me

If I hear the same song being played twice in the same night, I delete it from my playlist...

I try to play new stuff all the time.

I had a girl come up to me the other night and tell me to play "where's your head at" and I had heard it twice that night already. It was also the way she asked me. It was like she was ordering me to do it.

One tip, don't ever ask a DJ to play a certain song, especially while they are playing. It can make them very mad. If there is something you would like played, Suggest it on here, but not the night of or during a set.

Hahahaha. I can imagine that it would be irritating to have some song request barked at you mid-mix. <_<

Nice to meet you Alex, I'm Grant. Very Happy

To Steve: I am going to AnimeFest. I take it you are as well?

I hate hearing a song more than once a month...
