my name is Mike, turning 30 next moth, i guess im an old dude, but funny i dont feel old. for one, i love hardstyle and even want to learn shuffle to battle the young kids LoL. i love handsup even more (stuff like Rob Mayth and Pimp! Code). i used to rave back in 1999-2000, so just wanna revisit the atmosphere a gain.

is this some kind of code talk? i dont understand. Afterlife is a rave type of party, am i wrong? Meltdown is aslo a rave. (i was at the first one 1999 -unforgettable (wink))

nope youre wrong, a rave is an illegal event thrown at a venue that normally does not have permits, it is also defined as an all night electronic dance music party that normally goes til sun up. This is not afterlife, afterlife is not a rave. Afterlife is a legal dance venue with a late hours permit.
so, there was no secret code. Meltdown was not a rave, it did not go until sun up and it had all its proper permits. Rave died with the enactment of the Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy Act.
I personally dont like hardcore, very rarely are any hardcore tracks that ive heard well produced. They have poor sample rates, lots of distortion, and hollow tom kicks with very little in the way of an actual bass line.

SYE plays hardstyle with a bit of trance usually. He'll be playing 3-4 in the warehouse at the halloween event if you want to check him out...

@ pyros oh thanks guy. 3-4 on halloween event. may stop by
@ mackindabox...heheh i agree about the weak tomkickdrum of modern hardstyle. id ont tlike them either. i'm fond of the first generation of hardstyle 2005-2007. when the kickdrums were real banging kickdrum, not them pitched hollow tomdrums like today, it sucks the the energy from undersnadth your feet

psytrance can be the same way and thats my preferred genre
its hard to find decent full on and dark psy with a good bassline but ive managed to find a few good producers and tracks
hardstyle is ok but all too often they try to remix songs and it sounds ridiculous cause its all sped up...

i dont know if goa trance still around, but i never felt any energy from it. its great for tripping n shit but the kickdrum is even weaker than hollow hardstyle drum.
dont know if you;re interested, but a short mix by me "10 songs in 10 minutes" www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n6V01jjRbw
