Newcomer

Hello everyone!

I've been in the DFW area for 3 years now but I haven't been in the rave scene until Ani-Mayhem last friday. I had been watching DJ Cotts on youtube for a while and had to see him live.

I lived in France before coming here, been to free parties over there, it was the good times. Each time we had to drive for hours to a secret location in the middle of nowhere. Party for several days. Damn I miss it!

Anyway I'm here now, I don't know anyone in the rave scene or that would enjoy it, so I hope to meet a few peeps to go party.

First and foremost, welcome to Dallas, and to Afterlife. I'm Grant, and I'm pleased to meet you. You've picked the best spot in DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) for electronic dance music. While Ani-Mayhem was an event, it was a real niche kind of event. The "regular" nights are just as much fun (coughbettermusiccough), and most event nights usually have the club at or near capacity, with some incredible performances by the DJs that are brought in. If you have any questions, we're usually a pretty receptive bunch, unless you admit to liking trance, hardstyle, or happy hardcore, in which case we'll proceed to poke fun at you mercilessly. Razz

Thanks for the warm welcome Grant!

While I've been listening to gabber since I was 11 years old (I was into the Thunderdome cd's I through XXII, for those of you who know what it is), I admit to liking Trance (bashing time) on occasions.
