If it's that big of a deal to you, find me Saturday, if I show up. I'll gladly inform you of what DJ is playing, and what genre they play in, if you aren't able to figure it out yourself.

heres something to open your mind with:
go often, when you hear a dj you like, go up to them and ask the name of the track or better yet ask for a cd,
hoped that helped
btW I'm tony

Thx bro like i said i cant wait to see how things go down. But i can care less about the bpm not sure why i was attacked for, when i was just describing what i like...
But o well i guess ill just avoid using forms since people are discouraging on here.
And like i said already a few times ago i listen to different types of music but i like dancy music not just some mellow mix.. I love when a set is full of energy.. |
we addressed everything you said actually, not attacked you in any way... you can't pigeon-hole our club into one style of music... i play lots of styles at lots of BPMs.

this. x100000.
LRN2LISTEN. Especially to people that are clearly more knowledgeable in a subject than you are (and I do not mean myself).
It will get you farther in life than trying to be superior all the time.

Indeed. Luckily, I took two years of ear training/music theory, so I would like to think that I know what I'm listening to. Often times, it's those subtle little nuances in a DJs mixing that causes me to fall in love with it.

Its my background in music theory, that I put into my mixes. Some days it works some days it doesn't. But my music choices come from the the subtle nuances I hear in the background.

We are jaded to people coming in and being very arrogant and close minded. Sorry if it seems that we are just rude. We have had people come in here and just bash away. I'm sure if you meet us in person you will love us, and this club. Tymeless right there plays some of the hardest Dubstep you will ever hear, and it blows away TONS of other genres as far as it's voracity.
Perhaps you should come out tonight to the event (Sat 29'th) and see what's up, I would be happy to get to know u in person

i am not some noob. i've been in the club scene a decade and going to afterlife since day 2, so dont come at me the same way you come at some noob.
i'm only typing this to inform you that i, as one who is rather educated and wellversed in most forms of EDM, find you to be one of the worst DJs i have ever seen grace afterlife's decks with their presence. your track selection is terrible, your inability to hold a mix or beatmatch in general is atrocious, your sets have an obvious lack of any sense of phrasing or programing of any kind, you're just really bad dude. and i can assure you that many many people, noobs, old schoolers, and anything in between, most assuredly think the same way. some people would look at something like this as an opportunity to grow as an artist, well let me tell ya, you've got a lot of growing to do.
