the discussion of anime was started involving the OP, whose thread it is, and i wanted to make sense of his logic on why anime sucks in that discussion... which led to the conclusion that dance music sucks. which brings us to now. it is now the part where the OP comes back in to comment.

Ok i have a real question concerning that. Have you watched the ENTIRE series, including the movie (which was an alternate ending), and actually understood it???? That series has so much mythology tied into it it would blow your mind. It took me 10 entire watches, including the directors cuts, + wikipedia and other references to fully understand the depth of the story line,
You say the main character is a loser, but that's probably cause a majority of the protagonists in a lot of animes are fearless badasses. Ex: outlaw star, Bleach, Hellsing, Elfen lied, Eskaflowne, DBZ (ick), scry-ed, Vampire hunter D.
The main character in that story is actually human, with all the problems that we face as people, He started with a horrendous life, his mother dying, his father turning his back on him, his second family just being there, the other peers turning his back on them.
Each character displays a certain character flaw, but theres a reason for that. Each evangelion has its own deeper meaning. And the overall truth of what the angels are is a HUGE plot twist.

Actually I did watch the movie.... lol my favorite part was when he looks at his hand in the hospital... seriously how more fucked up can you get?
Also i got very confused at the end of that movie... im still confused
